Battle Stations is one of the oldest game on Facebook, yet they still survive because of their unique game-play and their constant update. I've been playing this game since 2008, and I must admit this is one of the most addicting browser based mmorpg I've tried.
To you who's new to this game, below is all the basic guide you need to master the game. This guide is by no mean a strict must to follow rule. you can try to mix and match on your own.
Remember, there are no perfect build in this game. just have fun.
Stat Guide
There are 3 stats to build in this game, allocate them based on your strategy and what kind of captain you want to be.
- Gunnery: This point add bonus damage to your cannon, sub cannon and missile type weapon
- Craft: Add bonus HP and armor to your ship
- Navigation: Add bonus to your speed and ramming weapon and slight armor, also add slight bonus to your missile
Class Guide
There are currently 4 class in this game.
- Soldier:
The most flexible class in the game and perhaps the easiest class to play in this game, soldier gain 1 fixed stat point in each stat (gun, craft, and nav) per level + 2 additional free stat point to allocate which mean these class have more stats points per level than any other class.
Soldier class may have more stat points per level than other class, but since the stat point is evenly distributed in each stat make the soldier class can't reach the full potential as other specialized class.
- Pirate:
Pirate strong point is in their gunnery, they gain 1.5 fixed stat point in their gunnery stat and 3 free point to allocate, the pirate class also has the ability to gain more gold from PVP than any other class.
- Mechanic:
The Mechanic Class is the tanker type in this game and ussualy have the highest HP and act as a rock defender in a clan war, Mechanic gain 1.5 fixed stat point in their craft stat, making them available to be the bulkiest ship in all Sios.
- Scout:
Scout is the fastest class because of their 1.5 fixed stat point in their navigation stat, with ram equiped scout can be the most damaging ship in this game, Scout is also may be the hardest class to play since you would need to be fast enough to your enemy in order to damage your enemy.
Ships Guide
Your captain isn't the only one who have attribute, in this game your ships strength will be the combined stat between your captain and your ship.
Ships attribute are as follow:
Speed: The base speed of your ship, not yet combined with your captain Navigation stat, you can increase or decrease this stat depending on your strategy.
Hull Point (HP) This shows how much damage your ship can receive before it gets sunk.
Capacity: Shows how much weight your ship can handle, since every weapon and part has its own weight you cant equip anymore part/weapon if your ship is overweight.
Weapon Guide
There are 4 types of weapon in Battle Stations, choose them wisely depending on your build and strategy.
Cannon offer moderate damage and moderate range, this is the common weapon for gunner build captain
Sub Cannon although short in range, subs give the best damage/weight ratio and can act as a filler in your weapon slot
Missile type weapon gives small damage but long (even very long at high level) range, which can make you pounds your enemy ship without them being able to counter, unless they're equiped with missile too of course.
Ram is the deadliest and most damaging weapon type, the drawback is you need to be real close to your opponent to use them, and the weight is really heavy too.
Build Guide
Gunner
Gunner is a captain who allocate most (if not all) of their stat in their gunnery, gunner type captain equip mostly cannon and subcannon. The most perfect gunner would be pirates, followed by Mechanic and Soldier.
Rammer
If you are the type who likes to deal heavy damage in just one strike, this build type might be for you, Rammers put most their stat point in their nav, and need to equip parts that can enhances the speed of their ship if they want to go offensive. for defense rammer ussualy equip part that can boost their HP and anchored the ship so every attacker are sure to meet them head to head. The best class for rammer would be Scout, followed by mechanic.
Missiler
Missiler build would try to create distance between them and the opponent ship, when attacking they ussualy go 50 speed (anchored their ship) and attack their opponent from afar, for defending the run full speed creating distance so the enemy can touch them, while they can still hit with their long range missileThe best class for missiler would be Soldier, followed by Scout, Pirate and Mechanic
